Why are so many people moving to central Florida and so many people moving out of central Florida?

superbuddy91 asked:

I have been researching and looking at real estate. I know a lot of people who have moved to central Florida (Orlando area), and looking at real estate, there were about 13,000 houses/apartments/condos for sale in the Orlando area. Why are so many people moving there, and so many people moving out?

Some may be moving out because thay can’t keep up with Florida’s cost of living (or their expectations were unreal).
I moved to Fl 27 yrars ago; from the northeast, everything was cheaper.
Not anymore. Wages have not kept up with Insurance,or taxes. While houses and cost of living are cheaper in Central Fl. (especially Ocala) people have overextended themselves and cannot afford it.
It is a good place to retire; jobs are scarce or low paying.

The number of available rentals does not reflect large numbers moving out but overbuilding by developers.
